They're starting to climb up and look out of the whelping box now.
It won't be long and they'll be out in the big kids kennel.
In the next week I'll try to get a buddy to help me stack um for pictures.
Our outside adventure was fun. It shows me a tiny part of their personalities. Kovu ran right to me as did Aurora. Ariel was mostly searching the ground for lunch. Nala was kinda' doing
that too. Mufasa
and Scamp were the
most curious and
the rest of the gang snooped around for
a second then
started crawling in
circles and crying :)
Except for Duchess, who pretty much
walked around like
she owns the place.

One baby boy and Ariel are still available. Lisa and her hubby, people with 6th pick boy, just found out they're expecting a human baby and decided to wait for a puppy.
July 29, 2002 Babies are 3 1/2 weeks old.
We came home from fishin' yesterday and 3 of the kids had escaped the whelping box. Scamp was out in the living room laying on a rug like he owned the place and 2 others were sleeping behind the toilet in one of the bathrooms. That's the coolest place in the house. The cats lay there too. I never looked to see who the other 2 were. I was too amazed and hurried them back to their box. Scamp has been out before, TWICE. I think they latch on to mama and don't let go until they're freeeeeeeeee. He's either got a really good grip or he's really cunning :)
Their parents are the only Akitas I leave in the house when I'm gone. They weren't in any danger :) Don't worry :)
Everybody got their de-worm medicine today and all their little toenails clipped. Weighed too. They were all very well behaved :)
Tigger chewed on me.
Aurora barked at me when I put her down.
Nala gave me tons of kisses and so did Moglie and Kovu.
Duchess/Lasrina cuddled as did Jasmine/Payton, Demon and Mufasa.
Everybody else, Scamp and Ariel, just held still and let the torture begin.
